Sunday Sermon … Peace is Found by Being Sure of the Future
So…. This one’s about 4 weeks late. I’m extremely sorry about that.
The last sermon in the series: Shalom

Nothing in Life or Death Can Separate Me From Your Love – Another Good Song

Future certainly gives present peace.
God tells us about the future so that we can live with peace in the present.
In four in Isaiah, God tells us about the peace He will give us in the New Jerusalem: … The New Jerusalem (Revelation 21-23)
- My covenant of peace will not be removed. (Isaiah 54:10)
- You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace. (Isaiah 52:12) … Peace in the process of death.
- I will make peace your governor and righteousness your ruler. (Isaiah 60:17)
- I will extend peace to you like a river. (Isaiah 66:12)
We don’t have peace because we focus on a narrow slice
Begin to experience it now! If you have a loan for a house than you know that you can enjoy the house even before you pay the loan back. You don’t really own the house, but you can live in still live in it. … What about your body? Is it really yours? Or is it just “on loan” from God. That’s a difficult question, but I tend to believe it’s more “on loan” and that all the hard times we go through could be considered the interest. (I could be wrong though.) … We have our physical bodies to live a physical life until we get to go to Heaven. … He’s also allowing us to experience the joy of the future now before we get to Heaven!
