Ancient Words – An awesome song!

Revelation (The Bible)

God has revealed Himself to all people through creation (Psalm 19:1) and conscience (Romans 2:14-15). … In other words, nobody old enough to know right from wrong is without excuse because nature proclaims that God is real. We can see small glimpses of God through nature. Also, the law is written on our hearts. We know right from wrong.

God has uniquely revealed Himself through Israel and the Old Testament (Psalm 147:19-20).

God has fully revealed Himself through Jesus and the New Testament (Hebrews 1:1-3).

The Bible is the inspired (2 Timothy 3:16) and infallible (Matthew 24:35) word of God. … God inspired every word in the Bible, which is flawless in its meaning. The Bible, the Word of God, will always be here. It can never be destroyed.

God

There is one true living God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6). … We are exclusive monotheists. We believe our God is the only real God. … There are not multiple gods and there is only one way to God.

God is Trinity (Matthew 28:19). … This is one of the hardest beliefs to understand. God is three persons in one being. … A triangle has three sides, but it is only one object. If you take one side away, then it is no longer a triangle. … I think this might be the best way to understand the Trinity. If you take away God the Father or Jesus or the Holy Spirit then the Trinity is incomplete because each one has does tasks that are equally important, just like the sides of an equilateral triangle hold it together.

God is great (Psalm 90:2; 139:2, 8). … Eternal … Omniscient … Omnipotent … Omnipresent … Unchanging … Eventually we run out of words, so I like to sum it all up with one word to describe God: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

God is good (Psalm 103:8). … He does not want to harm anyone, but He is just too.

God created everything that exists (Genesis 1:1).

God is working out His sovereign purposes in the world (Ephesians 1:11) and in the lives of individuals (Romans 8:28). … The providence of God … He is actively working through people to bring good into the world.

Mankind

Mankind is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). … We are created as beautiful beings, beautiful people.

Mankind is sinful (1 John 1:8). … Sin is ugly. It acts as a mask that hides our beauty.

Jesus

Jesus existed eternally in Heaven before he came to Earth (John 17:5).

Jesus came to the Earth to save us (1 John 4:14).

Jesus was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:20-23).

Jesus was fully God (John 1:1) and fully man (Hebrews 2:14).

Jesus lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15).

Jesus died for our suns and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Jesus ascended to Heaven where He reigns at the right hand of God (Acts 1:9).

Jesus will one day return to Earth (Acts 1:10-11).
